CBSE Class 12 Revaluation Process Deadline Extended: Board Extends Class 12 Answer Book Photocopy Application Last Date Again
The CBSE has extended the deadline for Class 12 students to apply for scanned photocopies of evaluated answer books from May 23 to May 24, 2026, after students and parents reported technical glitches on the portal. The board cited 'unprecedented traffic' and attempts of 'unauthorised interference' as reasons behind repeated disruptions in the system.
In a major relief for Class 12 students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again extended the deadline for applying for scanned photocopies of evaluated answer books after students and parents reported continuous technical glitches on the official portal.
The board has now revised the last date for applications from May 23 to May 24, 2026, giving students an additional day to access the facility amid repeated complaints about failed payments, portal crashes, and delays in downloading answer sheets. CBSE Cites Heavy Traffic and Unauthorised Interference
In an official statement, CBSE said its website had been experiencing unusually high traffic over the past few days, along with several attempts of unauthorised interference, resulting in disruptions to the system.
"The CBSE website has been facing unprecedented traffic over the past few days and has also faced several attempts of unauthorised interference, which has made it prone to disruptions. Hence, in an attempt to ensure that no student is left behind, the Board is extending the last date for obtaining scanned photocopies of answer books of the Class 12 Board Examinations," the board said. The extension comes after multiple students and parents raised concerns online regarding difficulties in completing the application process through the portal.
Relief for Students Seeking Re-Evaluation
CBSE has also clarified that students will receive up to two days after obtaining the scanned copy of their evaluated answer books to apply for the next stage of the process, including verification of marks or re-evaluation if discrepancies are noticed in the answer sheets.
The board’s re-evaluation process allows students to first obtain scanned copies of their answer books before deciding whether to proceed with verification or challenge specific answers.
How to Apply
Students can apply for scanned photocopies of their evaluated answer books through the official CBSE portal at pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/.
CBSE Class 12 results were declared earlier this month, following which the board opened the window for students seeking access to evaluated answer sheets.
The latest extension highlights the growing pressure on digital examination systems during peak result periods, especially when large numbers of students simultaneously access online services related to verification and re-evaluation.
Students and parents have continued to urge the board to ensure smoother functioning of the portal to avoid disruptions during critical post-result procedures.
