New Delhi, October 13: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on Saturday has issued a notification stating that Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 candidates form correction process will begin from October 15, 2019. The form is for those who want to edit their GATE 2020 applications. The correction window will open on the official website - gate.iitd.ac.in. IITs May Allow Academically Weak Students to Exit After 3 Years With a B.Sc Degree in Engineering.

According to the notification, the candidates would be allowed to make corrections in name, father's name, college name, examination city, etc. Those requesting a change in the examination centre, will have to pay an additional charge. GATE informed that it would release admit cards after the form correction process is over.

As per the sources, the tentative date for GATE 2020 admit card release is January 3, 2020, and the exams would be conducted on February 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2020. GATE 2020 exam would be computer-based and would be conducted for 25 different subjects. The results would be announced on March 16, 2020.

Each year, GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology -- Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Bombay, Madras and Roorkee. Based on the GATE score, M Tech aspiring students get admission in these premier colleges. Also, several Public Service Understandings use the GATE score to recruit candidates for jobs.
