A police inspector was killed in a violent clash that broke out between the residents of Chingrawati village in UP's Bulandshahr and the police. According to media reports, inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, posted at Syana Kotwali, died after he sustained serious injuries in the stone pelting by villagers during clashes that erupted after news of alleged cow slaughter in the village.

The Supreme Court Monday directed the Maharashtra government to submit before it the charge sheet filed against arrested rights activists before a Pune court in connection with the Koregaon-Bhima violence case.
