India Records 15,223 New COVID-19 Cases in Pats 24 Hours

TheĀ total cases have increased toĀ 1,06,10,883. The death toll mounted toĀ 1,52,869Ā with 151 daily new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.Ā Ā TheĀ number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 1,02,65,706Ā pushing the national COVID-19 recovery rate ofĀ 96.75 perĀ cent.TheĀ COVID-19Ā caseĀ fatality rate stands at 1.44Ā per cent.
The COVID-19 active caseload remained below 2 lakh.There areĀ Ā 1,92,308 active coronavirus infections in the country whichĀ comprisesĀ 1.81Ā per cent of the total caseload,Ā the data stated.
India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7,Ā 30 lakhĀ onĀ August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 andĀ 50 lakh onĀ September 16.It went pastĀ Ā 60 lakh on September 28,Ā 70 lakh onĀ Ā October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29,Ā 90 lakh onĀ November 20 andĀ surpassed theĀ one-crore mark on December 19.
According to the ICMR, 18,93,47,782 samples have been tested up toĀ January 20 with 7,80,835 samples being tested on Wednesday.
