Kanpur Accident Video: 2 Drivers Killed in Head-On Collision Between Truck and Pickup

Two drivers were killed after a speeding container truck and a pickup loader collided head-on in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Thursday. The fatal accident took place on Kisan Road in the Sachendi police station area. The impact left both drivers trapped inside their badly damaged vehicles. Police and local residents rescued them and rushed them by ambulance to Bidhnu Community Health Centre, where doctors declared both drivers dead.

The pickup driver was identified as 40-year-old Kuldeep Awasthi, a resident of Raipur village in the Patara area. Police were working to identify the driver of the container truck.

How Did The Kanpur Accident Happen?

According to police, Awasthi was travelling towards Bidhnu after delivering cold drinks to shops near Seedhi station. Residents and passers-by reached the accident site after hearing the crash. They alerted the police and helped in the rescue operation.

Kanpur Accident Investigation

Bidhnu police station in-charge Tej Bahadur Singh said the bodies were being sent for postmortem after the families of the deceased were informed.

Police said further action would be taken based on a complaint and the findings of the investigation.
