The Congress has fielded Chhatrapati Shrimant Shahu Maharaj from Kolhapur and Praniti Sushilkumar Shinde from Solapur (SC) Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra of the 8 candidates announced on Thursday. The other Parliamentary candidates are - Nandurbar (ST) - Gowaal K. Padavi; Amravati (SC) - Balwant B. Wankhede; Nanded - Vasantrao B. Chavan; Pune - Ravindra H. Dhangekar; Latur (SC) - Shivajirao Kalge, and Akola West - Sajid Khan Pathan.

In another setback to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the ED on Thursday evening, the Supreme Court is not holding any urgent hearing now on his plea against the Delhi High Court order denying him any protection. His plea is likely to be mentioned before the apex court for an urgent hearing on Friday.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the electoral bond data provided by the State Bank of India (SBI). The SBI filed a compliance affidavit in the Supreme Court, confirming that it has furnished all details of electoral bonds, including unique numbers, to the ECI.
