Moradabad, June 15: A man was arrested for allegedly killing two children in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad, police said on Saturday. According to police, an initial investigation has revealed that the accused, identified as Rohtash, suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair and thought that all his children belonged to her lover. Two more kids are battling for life in a hospital after being attacked.

Rohtash, a tailor by profession, killed attacked his wife and children with scissors. "He stabbed his four children with a pair of scissors. One died on spot, another died during treatment while the other two are still critical. He did this suspecting his wife of having an illicit affair. On June 9, according to the police, Rohtash decided to kill his wife and children. At around 10:30 p.m. at night, he went upstairs where his three children - Ravi, Aakash and Saloni - were sleeping and stabbed them. Ravi and Aakash died, while Shivani and Saloni are in critical condition. After committing the crime, Rohtash had fled but was nabbed by the police. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the law. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
