The West Bengal Lok Sabha Elections 2019 schedule was announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday. While voting will be held in the state on April 11, 18, 23, 29, May 6, 12 and 19, the counting of votes will take place on May 23. The Model Code of Conduct has come into place in the state from today. In phase 1 on April 11, voting will take place on two seats in West Bengal. In phase 2 on April 18, voting will take place on three seats. In phase 3 on April 23, voting will take place on five seats. In phase 4 on April 29, voting will take place on eight seats. In phase 5 on May 6, voting will take place on seven seats. In phase 6 on May 12, voting will take place on eight seats. In phase 7 on May 19, voting will take place on nine seats.

Phase II (Voting on April 18): Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Raiganj

Phase III (Voting on April 23): Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Jangipur, Murshidabad

Phase IV (Voting on April 29): Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Bardhaman Purba, Bardhaman - Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur, Birbhum

Phase V (Voting on May 6): Bangaon, Barrackpur, Howrah, Uluberia, Sreerampur, Hooghly, Arambag

Phase VI (Voting on May 12): Tamluk, Kanthi, Ghatal, Jhargram, Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura, Bishnupur

Phase VII (Voting on May 19): Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbour, Jadavpur, Kolkata Dakshin, Kolkata Uttar

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, the Trinamool Congress had bagged 34 out of the 42 Parliamentary seats in the state.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be held in the country from April 11 to May 23. Voting for the national polls will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The counting of votes will be held on May 23.
