Actress Gwendoline Christie looked stunning in an Iris van Herpen gown at Game of Thrones' season 8 premiere held in New York on Wednesday. Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth in the TV series demanded attention as she walked the red carpet wearing the gown in hues of yellow and brown. Hands in the air, eyes closed and wind in the air, Christie looked like a bird ready to take flight as she posed for pictures. Pictures of the actress adorned in the Dutch designer's Spring 2019 collection gown with layers and patterns has since then gone viral on social media.
And if you are loving her hair, then thank her character for which she got it chopped. She told E!News, "It was scary to cut my hair, to gain muscle, to walk in another way, to accept my androgyny, my natural strength. I felt the very things that society had dictated to me were not relevant or appropriate." Social media simply fell in love with the dress and can't stop praising the dress. Talking about this being the last season, Christie said, "You are going to need therapy. I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help." Talking about her character, the 40-year-old said that for portraying the warrior she had to strip her femininity and 'accept her androgyny'. Gwendoline has become one of the most beloved still-alive characters in the show. Game of Thrones is to return on April 14.
