A 27-year-old "Aghori Baba" has successfully undergone sex-change surgery at Bhandari Hospital in Indore yesterday, June 28. Reportedly, driven by his dream of embodying "Ardhanarishvara", a deity symbolising the union of masculine and feminine energies, Baba transitioned from male to female under the skilled hands of Dr Ashwin Das, a plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgeon. The five-hour procedure marks his second such surgery, following a similar operation in Chennai. Originally from South India and hailing from a Brahmin family, Baba has renounced his former life and now lives as a sadhu in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. After arriving in Indore on Wednesday, he was admitted to the hospital the next day, with the surgery deemed a success.
