Haryanvi singer-composer Jai Bhagwan Mittal, popularly known as Rocky Mittal, officially joined the Congress party on Tuesday in Kaithal. The event was marked by the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala. Mittal expressed his grievances through a song: “Andha Tha Andh Bhakti Mein, Thokar Maine Khai, Mujhe Maaf Karna, Rahul Mere Bhai” (I was a blind devotee, I stumbled. Please forgive me, Rahul, my brother). Youth Congress President Srinivas BV shared a video of Rocky Mittal. Previously served as a member of the BJP and chairman of Haryana’s special publicity cell, he cited mistreatment by the BJP as the primary reason for his switch. Over the past 14 years, Mittal claims to have composed over 200 songs praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and more than 20 songs for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Despite his contributions, Mittal alleges that the BJP ignored his efforts and falsely implicated him in various cases over the last four years. “They put me in jail for my work,” he stated.
