The youngster made history by becoming the first male badminton player to make it to the semifinals when he entered the last four with a win over Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen. He eventually had to settle for a fourth-place finish at the event after losing the bronze medal match.
Lakshya Sen looked back at his campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024 after he finished fourth in the men's singles badminton event. The young Indian shuttler competed at his maiden Olympics and put up a great show, outclassing several top shuttlers before losing to eventual gold medal winner Viktor Axelsen in the semifinals. Sen was impressive in the bronze medal match as well but failed to defeat Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia and subsequently missed out on a podium finish. In a post on 'X', the 22-year-old wrote a note, a part of which read where he sought 'space and privacy to regroup, come back stronger and win laurels for India.'
