Ahmed Refaat Dies: Egypt National Football Team Player Aged 31 Passes Away Months After Suffering Heart Attack During Match
In a sadnning news, Egyptian Footballer Ahmed Refaat died months after suffering a heart attack during a match. The player represented Egypt between 2013 to 2022.
Egyptian winger Ahmed Refaat, playing for Modern Future FC collapsed on the field in March. The match was halted with medics taking care of the player. He was sent to the hospital and later he was discharged a month after a pacemaker was inserted in him. Sadly, the player couldn’t survive and passed away on Saturday, July 6. He played 7 times for the national team and scored two goals. He was also a member of the Egypt side that won the African U-20 Championship in 2013. He helped the national side before lifting the Egyptian Super Cup with Zamalek in 2017 and the Egyptian League Cup with Modern Future in 2022.
