Out! India get one before the end of Day 3. Mohammed Siraj bluffed Zak Crawley and bowled a full delivery. The field was set for a short one and Siraj has delivered once again. That is a crucial breakthrough for India and they will be happy going into the break. England did the hard work but they couldn't close out in the end.  Crawley b Siraj 14(36).

England have started their second innings in an unlike manner, rather cautiously. Much of that has been due to the fields set by Shubman Gill which has been much defensive than the first innings. He wants to keep the run pressure and dot ball pressure on the England batters. Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley have started slow and are looking to get a solid foundation. 

Out! Finally Washington Sundar departs. He has played a very valuable knock here adding thirty more runs than England would have liked to keep them at. Josh Tongue made sure Washington forced for a single in the last ball of the over and the latter skies one straight up in the here. Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope both go for the catch and it was the former who held on. England have a tough ask on hand on a spicy surface. They will think they have conceded a bit too many here. Fifty! Washington Sundar's fireworks came out of the expectations for England and their tired bowlers. After the ball of the ninth wicket, Washington Sundar launched an attack on the England bowlers and dismantled them nailing everything. Brings up his half-century after landing some brutal blows. India powering ahead in the game once again. 

Out! Top over from Josh Tongue. Opens up the game completely. India were cruising over a lead of 350 and Josh Tongue has struck twice in the same over. First one, just wide of off, Jadeja goes for the cut and gets late. Second slip takes an easy catch. Then a really full ball to to legs of Mohammed Siraj and he is caught in front of wicket. Umpires gives LBW. England stay alive in the game. Siraj lbw b Tongue 0(3) and Jadeja c Brook b Tongue 53(77).

Fifty! Ravindra Jadeja's brilliant run with the bat continues. One of the best series for him with the bat and he just makes it better by scoring a half-century once again. Keeps England at bay and pushed India's lead to a strong place so that they can set England a strong target with the pitch easing out eventually. 

Out! Top delivery from Jamie Overton. Pitches on the line of the stumps and then seams away to hit the pads of Dhruv Jurel. He was hit flush infront of the wicket and Umpire adjudged him out. Jurel reviewed but in vain as replay show three reds. England keep surviving somehow. India still ahead in the game. Dhruv Jurel lbw b Jamie Overton 34(46).

India will go in to the Tea break being the happier side. Despite losing three wickets in this season, they have done enough work to get a good lead in hand and they are still dictating terms with England seamers now bowling really long spells. Ravindra Jadeja survived a close call but Dhruv Jurel looked compact. Both batters are aiming to bat longer and make England more tired. With time in hand, they have the luxury to. 

Out! Finally the centurion departs. Tried to attack the bowler after a short spell from spinners. Josh Tongue returned to the attack and bowled a short ball to Yashasvi Jaiswal. The latter threw his hands at it and the ball flew to the deep backward point fielder who finally grabbed the catch. End of a top innings. Jaiswal c Jamie Overton b Tongue 118(164).

Out! Gus Atkinson strikes again. Scrambled seam ball, rises from the length. Karun Nair already committed forward, tries to fend it off but the ball takes the shoulder of the bat before looping on to the hands of the Jamie Smith. Century! Yashasvi Jaiswal gets to the three-figure mark in style in his last innings of the series. Worked really hard to get to this spot after the failures in the last two Test matches. Got dropped couple of times on Day 2 but showed some real discipline on Day 3 to carry on India's innings and completed his century. Some quality batting from the youngster and he is elated after reaching his sixth Test century. 

Out! What a start after lunch. England find something to work on, something they desperately needed. Gus Atkinson produces the moment of brilliance. Full on the stumps, seams in and hits the pads of Shubman Gill looking for a onside push. Umpire gave LBW but Gill took DRS which also showed three reds. England have an opening now and they will look to make it big. Gill lbw b Atkinson 11(9).

That is clearly a session which is won by India and the session has opened the window for India to dictate play for the Test match. They are in the driver's seat now with the ball being old now, pitch easing out, England bowlers tired. All this was possible due to the partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Akash Deep. specially with the later frustrating the England bowlers and scoring a half-century. England also have not helped themselves with dropped catches. They will now have to chase the game. 

Out! Finally Akash Deep departs. After making a well-made half-century and getting India to a position from where they can dictate the game. England bowlers are in trouble now having bowled their first spells without any success and they will have to face five Indian specialist batters. It is the short ball that does the trick for them. Jamie Overton bangs it into the wicket and Akash Deep gets late on the pull skying it. Gus Atkinson runs in from point to take a good catch. Akash Deep c Atkinson b Jamie Overton 66(94).

Fifty! Half-century for the night watchman. Akash Deep gets to his fifty in style as pulls a ball to the boundary line.  Ugly but effective. He has frustrated the England bowlers and Ollie Pope enough and made sure he stitched a crucial partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Now India dictates the game. England will need something to work from here on. 

Absolutely forgettable first hour of play for England. Everything that they didn't want to happen has happened and they are well behind in the game now. They wanted Akash Deep's wicket early but they didn't as he survived a close LBW call and then Zak Crawley dropped his catch. He then carried on batting and England, already short on seam bowling resources are now in a tough spot with lot of batting to come from India. India dictating the game here. 

India have started the Day 3's play positively trying to take on the Indian bowling and they have looked solid so far despite having nightwatchman Akash Deep out on the crease. Akash Deep has played his shots and Yashasvi Jaiswal has solidified from the other end. India look in a good position and they will look to consolidate on it.
