After clean sweeping the Test Series by 2-0, Virat Kohli and men will step into the ODI series with an aim to dominate even in the 50-over format. India won both Test matches comprehensively. The first Test match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot was won by innings and 272 runs. The second Test in Hyderabad was won by 10 wickets. The ODI series will begin shortly in Guwahati and both teams would want to put their best foot forward. West Indies would want to forget their Test match woes and would step into the shorter format of the game with a positive mindset.

It was last in 2002, that West Indies won a series against India. However, the Windies post that has suffered defeat in four series. Talking about the match today, all eyes would be set on Rishabh Pant, who could make his ODI debut today as he was included in the 12-member team announced by Virat Kohli yesterday. Umesh Yadav who bagged 10 wickets in the second Test match, also is a part of the ODI series. He stepped in place of Shardul Thakur who got injured during the second Test match in Hyderabad. MS Dhoni who has been under the scanner of late for not rising up to the occasion to get back into his old form this ODI series.

Since the match is held in a cold place like Guwahati, the conditions are expected to be overcast and would help the seamers. Dew factor will come into play.
