Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - T20 Commentary

End of Over : 20.0 BAN: 175/7

Right! So 176 to chase for Zimbabwe to stay alive in the series. Can they do that? Stay tuned for their reply.

Zimbabwe will be a touch disappointed with the score but if you look at the last 5 overs, just 41 runs were conceded. So that is a tribute to their death bowling, especially with the dew around. Kyle Jarvis was the pick of the bowlers while Sean Williams did his best in the middle overs. Do not forget the efforts of Mutombodzi as well.

After being put in to bat, Liton Das went berserk from the word go. Bangladesh raced to 55 in the Powerplay but once he went, the run rate started to dip. But the brothers-in-law, Mahmudullah and Rahim, staged a good recovery with a 78-run stand for the 4th wicket. Mahmudullah stayed till the final over and ensured that the score crosses 170.

175. Well, on any ground, this should be more than enough. But on this one, with plenty of dew, one cannot say. The average first innings total at this ground in the first innings is 161, so they have got around 14 above par.

19.6 4

Kyle Jarvis to Mohammad Saifuddin. FOUR! BOSH! A boundary to end the innings. Jarvis goes short, around off and Saifuddin pummels it through a pull via mid-wicket for a boundary! BANGLADESH END ON 175/7!

19.5 2

Kyle Jarvis to Mohammad Saifuddin. Hat-trick ball! Saifuddin pulls it to mid-wicket and gets a couple off this short ball around off.

Aminul Islam comes out to bat on his T20I debut. Saifuddin to face the HAT-TRICK BALL!

19.4 W

Kyle Jarvis to Mosaddek Hossain. OUT! Caught again! Another wicket off a full toss. Would you believe it? All of a sudden, Jarvis is on a hat-trick. Mossaddek heaves it high in the air but gets more height than distance. Simple catch for Regis Chakabva at deep mid-wicket.

Mohammad Saifuddin is the new man in.

19.3 W

Kyle Jarvis to Mahmudullah. OUT! Caught in the deep. Not a no ball. A high full toss, around off, Mahmudullah heaves it over the leg side. It is a simple catch for Sean Williams at deep square leg. But Mahmudullah is not going. He wants the umpires to check whether it is a no ball. He is sharing a few words with Kyle Jarvis who is not impressed. Here come the replays which show that the ball is legal. End of Mahmudullah's innings.

Is that a no ball? Mahmudullah has been caught but he is waiting. Is it over the waist? The umpires are checking. Here come the replays. No overstepping. Also, the ball is below the waist when he plays the shot.

19.2 2

Luckily for the batsman the ball drops just short of the fielder. Mahmudullah's heart might have come in his mouth. A single taken.

Pitch report - It's very humid out there and the conditions will be taxing on the players. As far as the pitch goes, it has a good covering of green grass and the ball will come on nicely to the bat. Some parts have dry grass with a lot of cracks as well. 166 is the average first inning score here. Dew can be a factor later on.

Informs about the three changes and tells that they are going in with five proper bowlers. Tells that they don't have any total in mind and want to do well whatever they are doing.

Zimbabwe skipper, Hamilton Masakadza says that he is bowling first as he is not too sure about the dew. Adds that they know that it's a crucial game for them and they will try their best to get those points. Feels that the key is to not lose too many wickets up front. Tells that anything around the 160-run mark will be chaseable as it's a good wicket. Informs about a couple of changes in their playing XI.

Toss - Up goes the coin and it falls in favour of Hamilton Masakadza. ZIMBABWE WILL FIELD!

Hello and welcome everyone for the second leg of the tri-series. Match 4 is going to be played between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in Chattogram with both teams eyeing crucial points for different reasons. A win for the Bangla Tigers will help them book their place in the final while a win for the Rhodesians will keep their hopes alive and spice up the points table. A lot at stake here. Bangladesh have revamped their squad after the loss against Afghanistan and would like to make a big statement here. Having said that, Zimbabwe ran them close in the series opener and would love to repeat that. Expect a close game. Stay tuned for more...

End of Over : 20.0 ZIM: 136/10

Right then! 4 matches done out of a scheduled 6 in the league stage and we already have our two finalists. That means we shall have two dead rubbers but hopefully, they shall be entertaining. The next game will be between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 6.30 pm local (1230 GMT). Can Zimbabwe give Hamilton Masakadza a victory as a parting gift? We do hope so! ADIOS! TAKE CARE!

Victorious Bangladesh captain, Shakib Al Hasan, says that his team started well with the bat but rues the fact that they could not finish well. Praises his bowlers for bowling brilliantly. Is happy with the fielding effort too, especially on a wet outfield. On the 5-bowler strategy, Shakib admits that it helps when you have 5 proper bowlers in your side and is happy with the way the debutant Aminul bowled. On the final Afghanistan match before the final, Shakib wants the victory as it could be a big booster before the big match, the final.

MAHMUDULLAH HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. On his first-ball six, Mahmudullah says that probably he had made up his mind to go all-attack from the first ball but then credits the openers for laying a stepping stone. Praises his bowlers for defending the total well. On improvements for him, Mahmudullah is striving for consistency as he seeks to score more and more runs. On the upcoming match against Afghanistan and also a poor Head-to-head record, Mahmudullah says that the team needs to come out positively and play good cricket to get some momentum into the final.

Zimbabwean skipper, Hamilton Masakadza, says that there was a bit of a disaster with the batting, as once you are half the side down before 10 overs, it is very difficult to recover. On the choice to bowl first, Hamilton says that the dew factor here tends o help chasing and hence the decision. On the remaining match, the captain says that they cannot reach the final bu the fact that they have never beaten Afghanistan is a big piece of motivation.

In the run chase, there was no chase. 8/3 meant that the visitors were on the mat pretty early and barring a late burst from Mutumbami, there was nothing much in the batting. Mohammad Saifuddin kept things tight with the new ball while Shafiul, Mustafizur and Aminul took care of the wickets. Please stay tuned for the presentation...

Ideally, Shakib would have wanted to chase on a track which has so much of dew. But his inspirational thought of doing the best in whatever you are doing seems to have inspired his entire team. The openers got off to a flier but then lost their way before a Mahmudullah run chase resurrected the total past 170.

That is the end of Zimbabwe's chances of any progress in this tournament. 3 matches, 3 losses and that has pushed both Bangladesh and Afghanistan into the final. A victory for Zimbabwe here might have seen Bangladesh in a bit of jeopardy but the Tigers roared in this game.
