Sri Lanka batters Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera has pounced on the opportunity provided to them by the Hong Kong China bowlers. On two occasions, they have received two chances of both batters, which were sitters, On both occasions, they have dropped the catches. With added confidence, Nissanka and Perera have found some boundaries to shift the momentum.

Nissanka has looked to take the game deeper when wickets tumbled on the other side and he has landed some big shots in the last over to keep the required run rate under check as well. Sri Lanka are up and running on a high with Pathum Nissanka scoring eight runs off the first over bowled by Yasim Murtaza. Sri Lanka will hope to make the most of the powerplay while Hong Kong China hunt for eary wickets. 

Hong Kong China have set a 150-run target for Sri Lanka and it was made possible by Nizakat Khan, who scored a fighting half-century. He and Anshuman Rath (48) did well to form a 61-run partnership in the middle and Hong Kong China have a fighting score on the board. For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera emerged as the best bowler with two wickets. Sri Lanka need 150 to record their second win in Asia Cup 2025. Can they do it? The partnership between Anshuman Rath and Nizakat Khan is crucial for Hong Kong China to get to a fighting total here. The two batters have shown intent and hit the occasional boundaries along with rotating the strike and this is going to be a challenge for Sri Lanka. A target above 160 could turn out to be competitive on this track and it will be interesting to see how much Hong Kong China get from here on. 

Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath have started to get a move on and this is going to be an interesting phase of this contest. Sri Lanka will aim at keeping things tight here with both Hong Kong China batters looking good. 

So 10 overs are done and Anshuman Rath has been joined by Nizakat Khan in the middle. Hong Kong China got off to a good start but Sri Lanka have clawed their way back by slowing the flow of runs. Another entertaining 10 overs await us. How much can Hong Kong China get from here on?
