After warming the benches in the first two Tests, the latter got the place in the third clash. The batsman grabbed the chance with both hands and made a mark for himself. This was also Hamza’s maiden Test fifty and it couldn’t come in a better time. Earlier in the day, South Africa came to bat reeling at 9/2. Skipper Faf du Plessis was dismissed early but Hamza didn’t lose his focus and played a fabulous knock. The youngster is currently batting with Temba Bavuma and the duo will want to guide the Proteas to a big score.

In the first innings, Rohit Sharma scored a scintillating double ton and powered India to a massive score of 497 runs. In reply, the visitors lost both the openers early and the onus was on the team’s middle-order. As of now, India are looking all set for a 3-0 clean sweep while the Proteas will aim to turn the tables around.
