Bill Gates Confirms 3 Extramarital Affairs; Tells US Congress Jeffrey Epstein Tried To Blackmail Him
A congressional testimony transcript shows Bill Gates acknowledged three past extramarital affairs while answering questions in an investigation linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Gates denied wrongdoing, said he was never blackmailed, rejected STI allegations, and reiterated that maintaining contact with Epstein was a mistake.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has publicly acknowledged having three extramarital affairs following the release of a transcript from his closed-door testimony before the US House Oversight Committee. The testimony, which took place on 10 June 2026, was part of an ongoing congressional investigation into the network and associations of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Bill Gates Affairs Impact on Personal Relationships
During the hearing, Gates confirmed for the first time the identities of the three women with whom he had affairs: Russian bridge player Mila Antonova, Russian nuclear physicist Karima Nigmatulina, and medical entrepreneur Dr Alice Jacobs Nesselrodt. Gates noted that he had previously informed his then-wife, Melinda, about his relationships with Antonova and Nigmatulina before 2013, while the affair with Nesselrodt occurred prior to 2010. Gates maintained that these relationships were personal and unrelated to his professional interactions with Epstein. However, the committee scrutinised these affairs in light of allegations that Epstein attempted to use knowledge of Gates’ personal life to gain leverage.
Allegations of Potential Blackmail
As per a report by India Today, Gates told lawmakers that while he was never successfully blackmailed, he believed Epstein "contemplated blackmailing" him. The scrutiny focused on a 2013 email draft written by Epstein that referenced allegations regarding Gates and his former science adviser, Boris Nikolic, who served as a mutual connection between the two men.
As per a report by WION, Gates expressed uncertainty regarding whether Epstein ever sent the email to Nikolic, characterising the financier's actions as an apparent attempt to use a combination of facts and falsities to advance his own goals. Gates reiterated that his decision to maintain contact with Epstein, whom he met between 12 and 14 times over a four-year period, was a "mistake".
Bill Gates Response to STD Allegations
The congressional panel also questioned Gates regarding documents that alleged he had expressed concerns about a sexually transmitted infection (STI) following an affair. As per a report by the Hindustan Times, Gates explicitly denied ever contracting an STI or providing medication to anyone covertly.
