Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets in IPL 2025 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru on April 11. Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Phil Salt (37) started explosively in the powerplay and struck 30 runs to Mitchell Starc in one over alongside Virat Kohli (22) to take Royal Challengers to 61/0 in 3.4 overs. That is when he lost his wicket through a run-out due to a misunderstanding with Virat Kohli and the innings crashed.  Mukesh Kumar dismissed Devdutt Padikkal next, Vipraj Nigam (2/18) removed Virat Kohli and Mohit Sharma scalped the wicket of Liam Livingstone. Jitesh Sharma and Rajat Patidar also could not go far as they were dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav (2/17). From a desperate situation, Tim David (37*) staged a short fightback and helped Royal Challengers reach a fighting total of 163/7. Chasing it, Delhi Capitals lost quick wickets to Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/26), Yash Dayal (1/45) and Suyash Sharma (1/25) and at one point were struggling at 58/4. From there, KL Rahul (93*) and Tristan Stubbs (38*) started their partnership. Rahul gradually shifted gears, and, in the end, both took off to finish the game quickly. Rahul was particularly dominant and showed his old stroke range. This is the fourth consecutive victory for Delhi Capitals and second loss for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
