New York, May 9: On Wednesday, May 8, a urologist was found guilty of sexually abusing many patients over the course of years, while four of them were minors. As a urologist, Darius Paduch provided medical care to men and boys with very sensitive and private reproductive health issues, such as a speciality fertility disease in New York, United States. He was found guilty by a jury on eleven federal charges of sexual abuse in all cases. Paduch "leveraged his position of trust as a medical doctor for his own perverse gratification," according to U.S. attorney Anthony T DiPietro. He claims that for many years, people who came to Paduch's office for medical care, many of them children, left feeling victimised.

In this federal prosecution, there were seven victims; however, over 200 more men allege Paduch mistreated and violated their trust as well as their bodies. However, red flags were raised as early as 2006, according to DiPietro. US Woman Arrested For Manslaughter After Her ‘Sexually Abused’ 17-Year-Old Daughter Dies in Kentucky.

Here's How Darius Paduch Misused His Position

Prosecutors claim that Paduch, who formerly worked at Northwell Health and NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Centre, committed the abuse between 2015 and 2019 while he was by himself in the exam room with his patients. The doctor would allegedly either tell his patients to masturbate themselves or engage in masturbating them himself. He was an expert in infertility and male reproductive health. According to the reports, he allegedly performed needless rectal exams without wearing gloves and even used sex toys on his patients.

"Justice was served today," read a statement released by Mallory Allen, the attorney for the victims in this case. He said that while the hospitals where he worked turned a blind eye, for over twenty years, patients who trusted him with their medical care and treatment were instead brutalised by his demeaning, sexually offensive, and medically baseless conduct. Sex With Student in US: Texas High School Teacher Arrested for Engaging in Sexual Activity With 15-Year-Old Student Inside Classroom.

Additionally, Paduch is facing lawsuits from around 130 of his former patients in various cases alleging that he sexually abused them and tormented them by performing needless procedures on them without anaesthesia so that he could "inflict pain" on them. Paduch, who has been detained since his arrest in April 2023, is facing sentence of up to 60 years in jail for encouraging juvenile victims to travel in order to participate in illegal sexual conduct and other connected offences.
