4 Lankan Refugees Flee Camp, Arrested

Four Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, who left the Mandapam camp with a plan to leave for the island nation, were arrested from a lodge here today, police said.

Rameswaram (TN), June 5 (PTI) Four Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, who left the Mandapam camp with a plan to leave for the island nation, were arrested from a lodge here today, police said.

The four, including two women, were planning to leave for Sri Lanka illegally by boat from here.

They have been taken back to the Mandapam refugee camp and further investigations were on, police added.
