Bangladeshi National Arrested in Pune for Illegal Stay
A 22-year-old Bangladeshi national has been arrested here for allegedly staying illegally and procuring Indian documents fraudulently, police said.
Pune, Mar 28 (PTI) A 22-year-old Bangladeshi national has been arrested here for allegedly staying illegally and procuring Indian documents fraudulently, police said.
Sagar Ali Rafiq Ali, a resident of Jhenaidah district of Bangladesh, was arrested Wednesday from Chakan, an industrial town in Pune district, they said.
He used to work at a construction site, a police officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, officials from the Chakan police station arrested Ali and found he had entered into India illegally and procured PAN and Aadhaar cards using forged documents, he said.
"He has been arrested under relevant sections of the Passport Act, Foreigners Act and IPC," said the officer. PTI
