Emraan Hashmi to Play Spy in 'The Bard of Blood'

Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India] July 27 (ANI): Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is all set to essay the role of a spy in upcoming Netflix series 'The Bard of Blood'.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the news on his Twitter handle. He also posted a video of Hashmi reading a novel of the same name.

He tweeted, "Emraan Hashmi is Kabir Anand... Red Chillies Entertainment announces its original series for Netflix... Based on Bilal Siddiqi's #TheBardOfBlood... #EmraanInBardOfBlood official announcement:"

The series, which is based on the book of Bilal Siddiqi, revolves around an expelled spy Kabir Anand, played by Hashmi, who is called back into action "to save his country and long-lost love."

The eight-episode series, which will be streamed worldwide, will feature dialogues in Hindi, Urdu, English and other languages.

The drama will be produced by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan production house Red Chillies Entertainment. (ANI)
