The sequel is to be written by SS Rajamouli's father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote the first installment. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was directed by Kabir Khan. Apart from Salman, it also starred Harshaali Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles.
