Kohima (Nagaland) [India], April 22 (ANI): Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Major General Manish Kumar called on the Governor of Nagaland La Ganeshan at Kohima on Sunday, a statement from Head Quarters IGAR (N) said on Monday.

According to the statement, during the interaction, IGAR (N) Maj Gen Manish Kumar briefed the Governor on the overall security situation in Nagaland and adjoining areas of South Arunachal Pradesh.

Maj Gen Manish Kumar reinforced Assam Rifle's commitment to the well-being of the people through a synergistic approach with all the stakeholders in Civil society, security agencies and close connections with different strata of society.

The governor was also briefed on the Eastern Nagaland situation and the role of Assam Rifles during the elections which the Governor was very appreciative of, the statement added. (ANI)
