Sasaram, Apr 22 (PTI) Three young men died after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car in Bihar's Rohtas district, police said Tuesday.
The accident happened near Ramnagar temple late on Monday night when the deceased were going to a wedding, they said.
"Their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car coming from the opposite direction. All three died on the spot. The driver of the car managed to escape," said Dinesh Malakar, the station house officer (SHO) of Nokha.
The deceased were identified as Mantosh Kumar (20), Bhuar Kumar (18) and Sajjan Kumar (22) -- all residents of Mujanu village, he said.
Police have seized the car, and it is suspected that it belonged to a government official.
The bodies have been sent for the post-mortem examination, and an investigation ordered, the SHO said.
