India News | CM Dhami Extends His Warm Wishes on Eve of Krishna Janmashtami

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 25 (ANI): Wishing people on the eve of Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday called upon them to take inspiration from the life of Lord Krishna and become partners in the development of the state by promoting the spirit of love, brotherhood and harmony in society.

The Chief Minister said in his message to the people that the life of Lord Krishna inspires the entire human race to fight against unrighteousness, injustice and oppression.

Lord Shri Krishna is the true protector and guide of humanity. "The sentences coming from his mouth inspire us today, in the form of Gita," the CM said.

The message of devotion, knowledge, yoga and karma given by Lord Krishna in the Gita is still relevant today, he added.

Dhami said that Lord Shri Krishna also gave the message to man to always remain dedicated to selfless work, and the welfare of the poor and neglected sections of society.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm greetings on the auspicious eve of Janmashtami.

Murmu wished the citizens of the country and the Indians living abroad, according to a press release.

Murmu wrote, "On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens and Indians living abroad."

Further, she wrote that on the occasion of Janmashtami, Krishna is worshipped and the festival inspires the people to dedicate themselves to Lord Krishna. (ANI)
