New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): With the arrest of three persons, Delhi Police busted a gang of cheaters who were selling fake dollars at nominal prices, the police officials said on Thursday.
"They used to call people to give them dollars at a low price. The victims used to fall into their traps and hand over hefty amounts to them. After that, they would run away with real money from them. In the same way, the accused had taken Rs 4 lakh from a resident of Dabri and handed over fake dollars worth Rs 20 lakh to him," the police said.
The police further said that on receiving the complaint, the police identified the accused through CCTV and technical surveillance.
"The police team received secret information that two members of the fake dollar gang came near the Inderlok Metro station to hand over a bundle of fake dollars to someone. The police laid a trap there and arrested them. Further, on their instance, police nabbed their accomplice Arun in the Shahdara area," the police officials said. (ANI)
