Noida (UP), Nov 8 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar recorded one more fatality linked to COVID-19 as the death toll reached 69 on Sunday, while 135 new cases pushed the district's infection tally to 19,250, official data showed.

Active cases came down to 1,337, the fourth highest in the state, from 1,439 the previous day, according to the data released by the Uttar Pradesh Health Department for a 24-hour period.

On the brighter side, 189 more patients got discharged during the period with the overall recoveries reaching 17,844, the sixth highest in the state, it showed.

With a death toll of 69, Gautam Buddh Nagar now has a mortality rate of 0.35 per cent. The recovery rate of patients reached 92.69 per cent, the statistics showed.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in Uttar Pradeh rose to 23,249 on Sunday from 22,991 on Saturday. The overall recoveries in the state reached 4,67,108, as the death toll linked to COVID-19 climbed to 7,206 on Sunday, according to the data.
