Ahmedabad, Aug 29 (PTI) Gujarat on Monday logged 158 fresh cases of COVID-19 and one death that raised the tally of infections to 12,69,845 and toll to 11,007, an official from the state health department said.
The count of recoveries reached 12,56,970 after 243 patients recovered from the infection during the day, he said.
With this, the state is now left with 1,868 active cases, including 13 patients on ventilator support, the official said.

Of the latest cases, Ahmedabad reported the highest number of 39 new cases, followed by Surat with 27 cases, Vadodara 22, Gandhinagar 17 and Rajkot 13, among others.
At least 1.88 lakh people were vaccinated against the disease during the day, taking the total number of doses administered so far to 12.32 crore.
Gujarat's COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 12,69,845, new cases 158, death toll 11,007, discharged 12,56,970, active cases 1,868, people tested so far - figures not released.
