Nashik, Jan 17 (PTI) A 45-year-old man allegedly strangled his 24-year-old daughter to death with a stole after she threatened to leave him permanently after an argument over her marriage, police said.
The accused Ramkishore Bharti, a resident of Chunchale near the city, prima facie committed the crime as he was fed up with his daughter's habit of leaving home over trivial reasons, a police official said.

"On Tuesday, the father and the daughter quarrelled over the issue of her marriage during which she threatened to leave Bharti's home permanently. In a fit of rage, Bharti strangled her to death with a dupatta," he said.
The accused was arrested from the home.
