Kolkata, Jul 10 (PTI) No public transactions will be carried out across post offices in West Bengal circle on July 15 and August 5 to roll out a digital application which will make service delivery faster.
In a statement on Thursday, the Department of Posts said this temporary suspension of services is necessary to ensure that the new system, the APT Application, goes live smoothly and efficiently.
Describing it as a "major leap forward in our journey towards digital excellence and nation-building," the statement said, "As part of this transformative initiative, the upgraded system will be implemented across all post offices in West Bengal Circle on July 15 and August 5."
The APT application is designed to offer an enhanced user experience, faster service delivery and a more customer-friendly interface, "reflecting our unwavering commitment to delivering smarter, efficient and future-ready postal operations," it said.
