Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], September 22 (ANI): An elderly woman was killed while another person was injured when two cars collided with each other in Punjab's Ludhiana on Thursday, said Police. 

The incident was captured on CCTV, installed in Gurudwara Sahib near the spot of the accident.

The footage showed a speeding car colliding with another car, resulting in the death of one while leaving another seriously injured. 

As per the reports, the passengers were taken out of the vehicles by the locals in the area, and the injured were rushed to a private hospital but the elderly lady during the treatment, succumbed to her injuries.

The details of the deceased and the injured are still unknown. 

ASI Sarabha Nagar police station, Ram Singh had reached the spot upon the information of the accident and he confirmed that one of the cars was at high speed when it collided. 

It is also being said that both the parties involved in the incident have compromised, told ASI Singh. 

Further investigation into the matter is underway, he added. (ANI)
