New Delhi [India], June 2 (ANI): With opposition MPs resorting to sloganeering during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Speaker Om Birla repeatedly told them to take their seat and said he has given adequate time to speak to all members of the House and such behaviour should not continue in the next five years.
"I have given all of you the opportunity to speak. But the way you are behaving when the Leader of House is speaking is not done. This is not the culture of the House," the Speaker said.
"It also does not suit the culture of the party you represent. This is not going to continue for the next five years," he added.
PM Modi replied to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address and took repeated jibes at the Congress. He said the party should accept the verdict of people and BJP-led NDA had won its third successive term in office.
