Villupuram (Tamil Nadu), Jul 10 (PTI) AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, who held a roadshow here on Thursday, claimed that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's public outreach programme was aimed at the Assembly election next year.

Listing out the numerous achievements of the AIADMK regime, he said during a decade of his rule, the AIADMK government provided 11 medical colleges, five agriculture colleges and four engineering colleges besides polytechnic and law colleges.

In addition, his regime sought to ameliorate the conditions of the people.

However, with his term of office set to end in a few months, the CM launched a public outreach programme.

"People should be cautious because they will come to your doorsteps claiming to have done many things, but in reality they have hardly done anything," Palaniswami alleged.

The former chief minister's roadshow attracted several thousands of party workers who constantly waved the party flags and cheered whenever he faulted the ruling DMK dispensation.

Palaniswani waved at the cadres from his specially designed campaign vehicle.

He launched his statewide campaign from Mettupalayam on July 7.
