Gangtok, Nov 8 (PTI) Sikkim's COVID-19 tally mounted to 4,245 as 50 more people tested positive for the infection while two more fatalities pushed the death toll to 78, an official said on Sunday.
The State Information Education Communication (IEC) member Sonam Bhutia said that East Sikkim reported 40 cases, South Sikkim (9) and West Sikkim (1).
He said the state presently has 273 active COVID-19 cases, while 3,810 patients have recovered from the disease and 84 others have migrated to other states.
Two male patients succumbed to COVID19 infection in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 78, he said.

A total of 58,173 samples have been tested so far in the state, including 210 samples in the last 24 hours, Bhutia added.
