He directed that State Pragati be launched in the state on the lines of PM Pragati. He said that one day every month should be earmarked to hold review meetings of the flagship and most important schemes of both the State and Central governments. He also directed that the first meeting of State Pragati be organised in January 2026.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], December 29 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan on Monday reviewed various schemes under PM Pragati at the Secretariat. He directed that State Pragati be launched in the state on the lines of PM Pragati. He said that one day every month should be earmarked to hold review meetings of the flagship and most important schemes of both the State and Central governments. He also directed that the first meeting of State Pragati be organised in January 2026.
The Chief Secretary instructed that facilities such as computer/Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratories, smart classrooms, libraries, etc., be arranged at the schools identified under the PM SHRI scheme at the earliest. He directed that all related processes, including EFC/DFC and other formalities, be completed by March. He emphasised that departmental officers should be given clear targets and that regular monitoring should be carried out to ensure the timely completion of works.

On the lines of Atal Tinkering Labs, the Chief Secretary also directed that tinkering labs be set up in schools through state funding. He said that innovative and inquisitive teachers should be deployed in these labs, who can nurture the hidden talents of students and make them innovative. Initially, he directed that 10-12 such schools be developed to prepare innovative prototype models capable of participating in national and international competitions.
The Chief Secretary further said that primary schools which do not have their own playgrounds should be provided access to nearby playgrounds. For this, District Magistrates should assign responsibility to the concerned revenue officers. He asked departmental officials to work in a proactive manner.

During the review of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies under the Cooperation Department, the Chief Secretary directed officials to complete the computerisation of these societies at the earliest. He also instructed that on-system audits and 100 percent implementation of day-end closure be expedited. (ANI)
