Latest News | Two Minor Boys Drown in Canal

Machilipatnam (AP), Oct 14 (PTI) Two minor boys drowned in a canal in Krishna district on Saturday, police said.

A group of four boys went to take bath in a branch canal near Avanigadda village when two of them ventured into deep waters and got swept away, police added. The other two boys tried to rescue them but in vain.

One body was fished out while the other could not be traced despite local swimmers being pressed into service, Avanigadda Police Circle Inspector L Ramesh said.

The deceased have been identified as A Sidhardha (12) and V Balayya (14), students of standards six and seven respectively.
