Cuttack (Odisha) [India], Nov 20 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2,00,000 to the next of kin of those who were killed in the bus accident that took place on Tuesday.
Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident, Patnaik said that free treatment would be provided to those who sustained injuries in the accident.
At least seven people were killed and a dozen others were injured after a bus carrying 30 passengers fell from Mahanadi bridge near Jagatpur in Cuttack.
Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty is overseeing the rescue operation at the spot along with Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team. The rescue operation is underway. (ANI)
