RJ- POLLING Voter-friendly Polling Booths Being Set Up: State Poll Panel Chief
The Election Commission is setting up voter-friendly polling booth with various facilities like ramps for letting wheel-chair bound electors easily access it during the upcoming state assembly elections, Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Ashwini Bhagat said today.
Jaipur, Aug 27 (PTI) The Election Commission is setting up voter-friendly polling booth with various facilities like ramps for letting wheel-chair bound electors easily access it during the upcoming state assembly elections, Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Ashwini Bhagat said today.
He said the voters' facility being the top priority of the poll panel, the office of the state Election Commission is also trying to provide transportation facilities to all polling stations, besides the wheel chairs, ramps and volunteers at the polling booths.
Bhagat said the polling booths would also have the drinking water, power supply, different toilet for men and women and ramps for differently-abled persons to access the polling booth.
