'Sacred Games' Team Lands in Soup Again

All India Cine workers' Association has filed a complaint with the police to lodge an FIR against the producer and actors of the web series 'Sacred Games'.

New Delhi [India], July 11 (ANI): All India Cine workers' Association has filed a complaint with the police to lodge an FIR against the producer and actors of the web series 'Sacred Games'.

They also filed a complaint against actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for maligning the image of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

This comes after a plea seeking to stay on streaming of an episode of 'Sacred Games' and deletion of a particular part of the episode containing derogatory & abusive remarks against former PM Rajiv Gandhi was filed with the Delhi High Court earlier today.

Sacred Games is an Indian web television series by Netflix based on Vikram Chandra's 2006 thriller novel. The series was produced in partnership with Phantom Films.

Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte, the novel was adapted by Smita Singh, Vasant Nath, and Varun Grover, and all eight, hour-long episodes were directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. (ANI)
