A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court will give its ruling on the plea filed by a Pakistani woman for examining eyewitnesses from her country on Wednesday.
Panchkula (Haryana) [India], Mar 18 (ANI): A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court will give its ruling on the plea filed by a Pakistani woman for examining eyewitnesses from her country on Wednesday.NIA counsel Rajan Malhotra said on Monday: "The court adjourned the matter for March 20 on the application filed last week."On February 18, 2007, an explosion had occurred in Samjhauta Express in Panipat district of Haryana, claiming the lives of around 68 persons.Out of the deceased, 33 were male, 19 were female, 10 were male children, and six were female children.The plea was moved by Rahila Wakeel, the daughter of blast victim Muhammad Wakeel. She alleged the people from her country did not receive proper summons from the court or were denied visas by the authorities.However, the NIA which is probing the matter said that all witnesses were summoned through the High Commission of Pakistan.
