Two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to rob people as they wanted money to buy gifts for their girlfriends ahead of Valentine's Day, police said Tuesday.
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to rob people as they wanted money to buy gifts for their girlfriends ahead of Valentine's Day, police said Tuesday.
They have been identified as Sunny, 21, and Sanjay, 19, residents of Uttam Nagar, they said.
The duo had planned a trip to Nainital in Uttarakhand with their girlfriends, police said.
They were arrested at Vipin Garden, a senior police officer said.

2 held with heroin worth Rs 1.5 cr
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two persons after seizing heroin from their possession.
They have been identified as Kailash, 45, and Mohan Gupta, 20. One kg of heroin worth Rs 1.5 crore in the international market was seized from their possession, they added.
On Friday, police received information that Gupta would come to Delhi with heroin. A trap was laid and both the accused persons were arrested from Rohini's Sector-20 area, a senior police officer said.
They were allegedly supplying heroin in Delhi after procuring it from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, police said. PTI NIT

2 arrested for vehicle theft
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing vehicles and snatching mobile phones from people near South Campus of the Delhi University here, police said Tuesday.
They have been identified as Jitender and Vipin, residents of Mahipalpur, they added.
Five motorcycles and one mobile phone were recovered from their possession, police said. PTI NIT

3 nabbed for vehicle theft in north Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Three men were arrested for their alleged involvement in vehicle lifting in north Delhi, police said Tuesday.
They have been identified as Manoj Singh, 36, Mahender, 28, and Monu, 30, they added.
The trio was arrested at around 6.10 pm Monday near Kashmere Gate.
One motorcycle and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession, a senior police officer said. PTI NIT
