Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], Sept 20 (ANI): Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday sharply criticized past Central Government led by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) for ignoring the development of Railways in Odisha.

Lambasting Congress for not allocating enough money for development of Railways in Odisha, the Minister said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides Odisha with 5 thousand crores each year in Railway, but UPA couldn't provide 5 thousand in 5 years."

Earlier in the day, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan participated in "Swachhata Hi Seva Movement" launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mark the 150 birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

On Thursday early morning Pradhan attended a 'Swachhata Hi Seva' event in Bhubaneswar city at Baramunda Bus stand. Bharatiya Janata Party, state vice president Sameer Mohanty and several leaders along with hundreds of BJP workers participated in this program. (ANI)
