Cardi B took to Instagram to defend herself after an old video resurfaced where she was saying she drugged and robbed men who wanted to have sex with her while she worked as a stripper. The rapper received a lot of flak from her fans after the video went viral on social media. The singer took to Instagram to clarify things and wrote in a note, "Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive." Cardi has been open about her past before too. In the note, she further wrote, "I'm a part of a hip-hop culture where you can talk about where you come from, talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are. In the note, Cardi B ended by explaining her behavior to the men she referred to in the old video being men she dated or was involved with and were "conscious, willing and aware. Despite Cardi's statement, fans went on to term her 'female Bill Cosby'. The comedian was sentenced to jail in 2018 after being accused of drugging and assaulting women.
