New Delhi, December 9: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday locked horns with each other. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Vijay Goel got involved in an argument over the ill effects of demonetisation, GST and тАШBaniaтАЩ community in Delhi.┬аBJP Got 30 L Votes Deleted from Delhi's Electoral List, Kejriwal Alleges.

The AAP Party claimed that the business community is not only reeling on the pressure of demonisation, but also many Bania has lost their right to vote as their names have been deleted from the voter list by the Election Commission of India on the direction of BJP.┬аDelhi Vidhan Sabha Special Session: Manoj Tiwari Slams CM Arvind Kejriwal for Wasting Time Over Non-Issues and Ignoring PeopleтАЩs Problems.

The spat began after Goel, tweeted that people of Delhi are angry with the Chief Minister. тАЬThe Banias in Delhi are angry that Arvind Kejriwal and his party considers them as fools. If the Vaishya community will believe this that the BJP is singling them out and getting their votes deleted, when the reality is that two Vaishya leaders from Delhi are ministers in the Central government,тАЭ Goel tweeted.

Making a scathing attack on Goel, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, тАЬBJP should answer as to why they have deleted the names of four lakh voters out of the total eight lakh Baniya voters. Wrong implementation of GST has ruined the business of traders. That is why they are not going to vote for you. But, now you are deleting names from the voter list. Is this how you plan to win."

AAP leader Sanjay Singh while supporting Kejriwal tweeted, тАЬSirji, 2 prominent ministers out of 7 from AAP Cabinet are banias, the speaker of the Delhi Vidhan Sabha is a bania. BJPтАЩs 80% donation comes from banias but only two out of 73 ministers in the Modi govt are banias. Is this a joke?тАЭ he tweeted.

It is noted that AAP had earlier allegedly attacked EC for removal of Muslims and Poorvanchali community from the voter list as they didn't vote for BJP in the past. But recently, AAP has also included 'Bania' (Businessmen) community in the list.
