At a press briefing to shed light on the recent military engagements and counter-terror efforts, the panel comprising Lt General Rajiv Ghai, Vice Admiral AN Pramod, and Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti offered critical updates on āOperation Sindoorā. In response, the āIndian Army swiftly executed precision strikesā on terrorist hideouts across āPakistan and PoKā, delivering substantial damage to hostile elements. Detailing the āMay 7 offensiveā, Lt Gen Ghai stated that India eliminated ā100 terrorists across nine locations" including āthree high-profile operatives linked to the Kandahar hijacking and Pulwama attackā.
The operation, carefully executed, struck āPakistanās terror infrastructureā with decisive force. āThe targets were only terrorists, that prevented collateral damage,ā the senior military official said. Despite the understanding, Pakistan attempted retaliatory strikes on āIndian military basesā using ādrones and missile systemsā. However, Indian forces intercepted and neutralised these threats.
