From the banks of Pangong Tso in Ladakh on Sunday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid homage to his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The former leader of the Congress is now visiting Ladakh, which is his first trip there since the region became a Union territory in August 2019 after being separated from Jammu and Kashmir. "Here, the concern is of course China has taken away the land...people have said that China's army has entered the area and their grazing land was taken away but PM said that not an inch of land was taken away, but this is not true, you can ask anyone here", he told ANI on Sunday. Gandhi is also reportedly planning to travel to Kargil the following week.
