Polling to elect 68 members of Ahmednagar municipal corporation was held on Sunday. Around 67 per cent registered voters exercised their franchise in Ahmednagar Mahanagar Palika Chunav. A total of 339 candidates are in the fray for 68 seats of the civic body. The Congress and NCP contested the election in an alliance and together fielded 64 candidates - 44 of NCP and 20 of Congress. Dhule, Ahmednagar Civic Polls Register 67% and 60% Voting Respectively.
While the BJP fielded a maximum of 67 candidates, Shiv Sena declared candidates on 60 seats.
